Vodafone is looking for an API and Solution Designer to join the team in Germany or the UK. 

The successful API and Solution designer will support our Digital API Exposure Scrum teams, provide innovative solutions, assess new tools, and improve our API  ecosystem.  You will work in close cooperation with our Lead developers and Systems Architects and offshore Solution Designers and Developers. You will be able to influence the governance and evolution of our portfolio, ensuring compliance with the Vodafone rules for technology and security.  As the API and Solution Designer, you will drive the product and service development by building new products and features, based on existing capabilities or vendors.
For this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about simple and clean design and code using an agile mindset

•    Design and improve APIs
•    Ensure API and tools are compliant, fit for purpose, and efficient
•    Propose, assess, and introduce new tools and processes 
•    Evolve the API exposure ecosystem
•    Ensure design and quality of our data flows into Splunk and data lake

Apply if you have:
•    Design/Development and/or data engineering experience
•    Strong knowledge in technologies such as REST, JSON, JavaScript, Node JS, SQL/NoSQL, databases, Queueing
•    Experience in Agile, Scrum, TDD
•    Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures (e.g., Gateways, cloud, big data)
•    Experience of API development, design best practices and integration
•    Experience of conducting technical workshop, presenting technical solutions, preparing how-to guides, and technical comparison documents
