The 30 colleagues within our Client Interaction and Analytics team are dedicated to crafting and delivering innovative ways to deepen customer relationships. These help drive commercial growth and also make sure our customers are aware of government support schemes.
The Performance & Analytics team act as a centre of excellence for insight within Direct Channels, and we utilise our analytical knowledge and experience to convert data into actionable executive decisions to develop and commercialise the business. Within the Client Interactions and Analytics team we play a pivotal role in providing action orientated insight, which is critical in driving the strategy of channel migration to digital and marketing led channels.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Direct Channels team, which is a key growth area in Commercial Banking. As an Analytics Manager, you’ll be extracting, segmenting, and analysing data, to build out the insight recommendations that help deliver the channels' strategy. Using several different tools including Teradata to access GDW, Adobe Analytics, SQL Server, Excel and Powerpoint.
Your capability to collaborate with others, alongside your ability to generate insight and convert into recommendations to present to a senior audience to make commercial decisions, will really set you up to succeed!
What you'll be doing...
• Support delivery of key Group strategic objectives through insight
• Attribution and value measurement to understand the benefit of marketing activity
• Measure performance of key channels across Business & Commercial Banking, identifying opportunities and headwinds to ensure delivery of new business plan
• Analyse key themes using data from a wide range of sources to make recommendations on further initiatives to grow
• Review performance of new initiatives and capability against a range of criteria to determine success and next steps
• Forecasting, scenario modelling and insight on the business to support and drive strategic outcomes
• Working with various levels of colleagues across multiple Commercial Banking divisions and wider teams like Direct Channels, Data Services, Portfolio Analytics, Finance etc
• The opportunity to influence at a Senior Management level across the CB business using your strong analytical and problem solving skills
What you'll need...
• You'll already have some analysis experience using a relational database (e.g. Oracle, Teradata etc.) along with an appropriate scripting or programming skill for data extraction such as SQL, SAS, R etc.
• We'd also love to see your track record in using data and insight to influence analytics to develop actionable insight and confidence in telling stories through data.
• You'll also need strong partnering and communication skills to deliver your recommendations.

(Please note the salary range for candidates outside of London will be £42,000 to £58,000. Also while colleagues will be home based most of week, travel to the office will be required 1 or 2 days a week)
