About this role

The key purpose of the role is to lead on engineering projects, deliver and support data, AI and analytics solutions using GCP, microservices and containerisation.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for e2e engineering of specific AI and data science projects and ensure delivery commitments are met for major transformation programmes.

Provide technical leadership on data ingestion from a wide variety of sources including quantitative, qualitative for analytics and insight.

Own end user support for existing AI applications.

Lead on problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision-making.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Hands-on experience in the domain of advanced analytics and data science (e.g., Linear Regression, Random Forests, Neural Networks, Python, R, GCP, Spark, MapReduce, Qlik) for analysing multiple sources of structured, semi-structured and unstructured

Experience of story telling with data.

Proven experience of working with microservices, containerisation and products that have regular releases through automated CI / CD processes.

Experience with AI/optimisation techniques such as meta-heuristics (simulated annealing, and genetic algorithms, reinforcement learning based/BERT, knowledge graphs).

Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.

Understanding and exposure to front end development and associated life cycle.
