Agile Project Manager

Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary: Competitive plus bonus

What will you be doing?  


Data Engineering and Management team provides the business with the data necessary to make data driven decisions by using our expertise to deliver new data streams to enable Vodafone to challenge, improve and drive company results. This position will be responsible for working within a team to deliver new data capability, providing responsive information, analysis, and reporting capability in line with an agile development framework. As an Agile Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of timely, accurate and clear outputs for Data Delivery.

 

Key accountabilities include:
 

  • Supporting, reviewing and ensure quality and integrity of deliverables into and that directly affect the Data and Analytics (Finance) estate, review and authorise components of Data and Analytics projects.
  • We have an exciting capability agenda and this candidate will have the opportunity to support the delivery roadmap of new capabilities.
  • This role provides expert guidance and delivers through self and others to; Source and integrate structured and unstructured data from dozens of local data sources and implement solutions to wrangle, cleanse, validate and govern data.
  • It if fundamental for this role to have knowledge and appreciation for both the technical and commercial aspects of business and a desire and ability to build effective solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders.  Being able to do this in line with Vodafone’s technical landscape. The successful candidate will share our passion, our pioneering spirit and hunger for innovation and change; they will have a great eye for detail and the ability to work across Finance and IT. This role has a range of activities so good organisation skills are essential.


Who are we looking for?   


•    Experience with Teradata, TSQL, MS SQL Server, SSIS.
•    Proven track record of delivering new database and reporting capability
•    Understanding of databases, data manipulation and analysis techniques.
•    Project delivery experience
•    Agile Scrum and Agile ways of working experience
•    Exposure or knowledge of the following tools also desirable; Qlik, MicroStrategy, Tableau or Google Cloud platform
•    Managing complex stakeholder relationships
