We currently have a great opportunity for an After Hours Nurse Manager to join the Broken Hill Health Service Management team. In the role you will be managing a vibrant, skilled, team of nurses and midwives to achieve exceptional health outcomes for some of the most vulnerable communities in NSW. About Broken Hill
Often referred to as the “Capital of the Outbackâ€, Broken Hill is an iconic mining town in far west NSW full of spirit, history, diversity and character. Selection Criteria * Current Nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Appropriate qualifications in management from Post Graduate to tertiary (Masters level) with five years full time equivalent post qualification experience in the relevant field.
Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
Proven ability to function effectively as part of a senior management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services.
Broad clinical experience and operational management expertise at a senior level within a health care environment, including strategic planning, the development, implementation & evaluation of organisational Strategic & Business Plans and Project Management.
Demonstrated understanding of the role, function & funding of public hospital within the Australian and NSW Health Systems.
Current drivers license and ability and willingness to travel in rural and remote areas, including overnight stays.
