This is a remote position, the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within Canada or the USA.
We are looking for an Aerial Mobility Analyst to join one of our newest startup teams passionate about exploring the technical and commercial opportunities afforded by mobility's next great disruption - AAM (Advanced Air Mobility). In this role, you will be responsible to develop key critical initiatives to assess the network landscape and set long-term roadmap that positions GM for success. This is an exciting, high impact role with the outstanding opportunity to explore and incept along new mobility frontiers to accelerate GM's vision of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.
Responsibilities include:
Lead, scope, negotiate and direct collaboration projects with strategic external and internal partners, consultants and relevant regulatory bodies, in pursuit of seamlessly coordinated network of services.
Actively scan the AAM ecosystem to identify strategic opportunities, relevant trends and assess the competitive landscape, specifically in the network space
Assist in the development of innovative business models and assess business case viability enabled by all-new multi-modal mobility (air/ground) solutions.
Attend industry events to continuously enrich and activate your network and boost strong business relationships.
Skills and capabilities
Highly self-motivated: lean reporting structure requires each person to work independently at times with minimal guidance from management to tackle challenges.
Imagination: always looking for a different, non-traditional path. Asking "why not?" (Versus "why?"). Seek change. Search for differentiation. Continuously curious.
Ambiguity: comfortable working in white space (new areas/concepts)
Invention: recognize and identify the key factors to new businesses and growth options and convert them into viable alternate scenarios. Draft the plan to make these businesses real (commercialization).
Communication and Relationship building: ability to work with all levels within General Motors globally and across functional boundaries e.g. finance, purchasing, vehicle development, legal and built trust with customers, partners and other external stakeholders.
Evangelize: the skills to tell a synthesized and engaging story based on insights and analyses. Build short, clear PowerPoint decks and present quickly and clearly to key decision-makers

Qualifications
Intellectually curious about the technical support for AAM
Experience gathering and synthesizing customer insights by applying human-centered design-thinking principles
Able to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority
Ambidextrous thinking and approach, with the ability to move seamlessly from strategy to detailed execution
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of data governance and security, and system integration
Prior experience with the mechanisms and methods to exchange data between disparate systems
Prior commercial experience within the aerospace and/or transportation planning and/or ride hailing sector
Education
Post Secondary Education required, Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, IT or related field preferred
