About the Team

The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

Within SER we have Regulatory Operations including the Customer Performance and Improvement team which is focussing on safer people outcomes through managing  a variety of responsibilities. This includes the Advisory team which manages the enhancement of operational policyand procedures around licensing and registration products, to create a consistent end-to-end customer experience and improve the quality of regulatory transactions.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for an Advisory Officer who is responsible for providing operational support and guidance on licensing and registration policy and procedures to improve the customer experience.

The role contributes to the analysis and provides advice to support the operational policy arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives. The role provides support to the cross-functional teams during each stage of an activity to ensure effective administration of all processes and compliance with all policies, procedures and governance frameworks. 

Reporting to the Senior Advisor you will be one of five Advisory Officers.

About you

We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills who is able to put themselves into the customer’s shoes to ensure that legislative policies and processes are easily understood and user friendly. You will act as the conduit between the customer and the policies to ensure this occurs.

To be successful in this role you will have strong knowledge and experience using DRIVES particularly around licensing and registration with the ability to research and analyse processes and the policies governing these.

You will have the ability to “think outside the box” in order to achieve outcomes for the customer and strong stakeholder engagement skills which will enable you to provide guidance when taking on new suggestions and improvements while working closely with other Directorates including the Vehicle Safety and Customer Licensing teams.

 

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Gde 7 ($106,086 - $118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
