Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Reporting to the Team Leader - Leadership Committees, the Advisor Governance will work closely with Senior Advisors to provide a high quality level of advice to the Kāinga Ora's Board and various Sub-Committees. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the investment world.

This is a quality assurance role, providing advice and information management services between the Board and it's Sub-Committees and Kāinga Ora Management. An extremely vital role, you will be responsible for the Board and Committee processes and documentation being kept current and in line with the changing business environment.

We are looking for someone to join our team who has the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation, has a good level of understanding of Programme Governance and quality assurance papers being presented to the boards. You will have a can-do attitude, eye for detail, ability to multitask, thrive under pressure and work to tight deadlines. You will be joining a team of hard working experts who you will be able to learn from and grow your skills to further advance your career within Kāinga Ora.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in high level administration support
  • Understanding of business and governance issues
  • Experience with and understanding of corporate governance issues
  • Supporting multi level Boards is desired
  • Ability to access and challenge information
  • Sound judgement in decision making
  • Strength in writing in plain English
