Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Our Administrator - Property is responsible for delivering professional, high quality property and transactional business support services to Market Delivery Team. This role is pivotal to the effective operation of the annual acquisition and divestment programme mandated by Kāinga Ora.

This role provides a wide variety of property support central to the purchase, lease and divestment of assets including land. These functions include the creation and maintenance of asset data in Oracle, and ensuring all Market Delivery records are accurately stored in the document management system. This role handles the procurement processes from supplier set up, purchasing and allocation of costs to all Market Delivery programmes, projects and tasks: Acquisition New Build, Acquisition Buy In, Acquisition New Build Lease, Acquisition Existing Lease and Acquisition Land.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Ideally a minimum of National Certificate in Business Administration or Property Management (NZQA Level 5) and / or at least 3 years' relevant experience in the property industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of contract administration practices within the property industry and an understanding of both the construction and building industries.
  • Experience with property law and residential property and conveyance related transactions, would be advantageous.
  • Excellent working knowledge of and experience in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
  • Experience in providing general administrative and business support services to a diverse group of people with many non-routine requirements who may have conflicting high pressure demands.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, and capable of anticipating needs to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships that achieve working partnerships.
  • High degree of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, and Oracle experience an advantage.
  • Proven experience in working with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent understanding of best office practice and ability to foster such practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to represent the organisation.
  • Understanding of partnership obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi.
