Christchurch Emergency Department (ED) is the largest ED in the South Island seeing more than 101,000 patients per year and covers a population catchment area of 500,000. We are part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital.
The Ed Administration roster is 24 hours, 7 days per week. It is critical applicants are able and willing to work the full range of day, night and weekend shifts.
This is a busy and demanding role, being the initial point of contact for patients arriving at the Emergency Department and ensuring patient management systems are accurately updated and processes carried out in a timely manner.
You will have good keyboard / computer skills, an ability to communicate effectively, have cultural awareness and be able to demonstrate an ability to work and contribute within a team environment. A sound administration background is essential. Knowledge of patient management systems would be advantageous.
