Your People Recruitment is partnering exclusively with the Pacific Trust Otago to find a great candidate for their administrative support vacancy.

In this general support role you will be assisting the team with varied day-to-day administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be a great team player with a can-do attitude. You will be naturally friendly, helpful and empathetic, which is important for welcoming visitors at Reception.
Our ideal candidate will have strong connections with Pacific communities and networks. You will also have a knowledge of protocols in place amongst Pacific peoples and you will have the ability to work across various Pacific groups.

Your typical day may include:

  • Reception – meet and greet visitors, phone and email communications
  • Word-processing, preparing documentation, mail merges etc.
  • Scanning, filing, photocopying and record keeping
  • Spread sheeting/data entry
  • Use of relevant computer software programmes and technology
  • Other relevant duties as directed adhering to policy and procedures and provide cover for the team

Required skills and attributes

  • Computer skills including MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
  • A high-level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Great written and verbal communication skills - good literacy and numeracy
  • Tidy presentation and a warm and friendly personality
  • Knowledge and understanding of Pacific protocols
  • Works well in a team

You must be entitled to live and work in New Zealand to be considered for this role. 
Background checks and computer competency testing is a requirement.
