What you'll be doing
The Administrative Officer provides clerical, stock control, purchasing and reception support to the staff of Biomedical Engineering and Inhalational Therapy. This position is responsible for maintaining the reception and office environments of the Department.
The Administrative Officer is key to management of medical device consumable stock used throughout the hospital and has a very physical role with respects to receiving and checking in stock, as well as issue and management of stock levels.
The Administrative Officer will be responsible for receipting of invoicing and financial reconciliation of large number of stock orders and medical gases invoicing.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills, with internal and external stakeholders
Stock control management experience
Proven ability to prioritise workload in a high activity environment and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
Demonstrated experience in administration working within a medical /health environment.
Proven ability to use initiative, to work autonomously and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Word, Outlook, Excel, basic database skills and email.
Proven ability to learn, or relevant experience with navigating various databases and scheduling systems
Physical ability to manage the unboxing of 15 deliveries per day.
