Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join the Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows. This role involves many duties such as: accounting, data entry, human resources, and supporting other departments when needed. Prioritization, Problem-solving and Strong Communication skills are needed for this particular position. You will need a clear understanding of Excel and proactive thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gift shop / Cafe Management - Ensure staff is on time / scheduling / restocking and managing inventory / displays.
- Receive orders and inventory inspection - Keeping retail / stocking areas organized and tidy (basement) Work with retail staff
- Covering shifts in various departments - days of staff sickness or food breaks. Be where you are needed. Willing to assist in random task work. May involve some physical work at times.
- Staff Room Inspections - Bi weekly basis
- Be liaison for departments - Bring verbal reports or info to GM. Help with conflict resolution at Front Desk
- Communicate with staff and ensure implementation of new policies, protocols, procedures, guidelines. Proper uniform, positive and proactive attitude, ‘No phones’.
- Be a resource with staff issues. Reduce staff conflict.
- Support with quality control - pre-check-in inspection for arrivals
- Move through the property review / update staff duties, delegate
- Support Human resources : hiring.
- Payroll : Data entry of timesheets for all staff, accurate and attention to details
- Cash out / bookkeeping : Compute and systemize daily cashouts for all departments.
- Ensure enough cash on hand in market, cafe, bistro tills
- Support in Scheduling : review schedules and support managers in their scheduling creation.
- Delegate / distribute tasks when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Available from May 10th to October 15
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (no sponsorship)
- Provide clean criminal records
