Do you want to play a role in helping NSW reach net zero emissions by 2050? We have an exciting opportunity in Climate Change and Sustainability Division.

Our Sustainability Programs Branch Administration team is seeking two Administration Support Officers to support the Climate Change and Sustainability Division deliver programs and strategies that promote the New South Wales Government’s climate change and net zero emissions policy agenda.

About You

The Administration Officer provides diverse administrative services ensuring compliance with relevant NSW public sector policies, practices and statutory requirements. The role provides significant support in financial systems and transactions, develops and implements administration systems; and ensures communication systems are in place to facilitate information transfer to and from the Division/Branch as required.

To be successful in the role, you should have knowledge of and experience financial systems, responding to and demonstrating initiative in handling a range of inquiries, telephone calls and correspondence and, when appropriate, re-directing inquiries to relevant sources.

You have proven verbal and written communication skills, be keen to learn and implement computer software skills and are comfortable working as both part of a team and autonomously, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

We are looking for people with administration skills to deliver a quality information service to our internal stakeholders and to support the efficient day to day operations of the branch.

Essential Requirements

Demonstrated experience in office administration, particularly financial systems

Quick to learn and apply computer based systems and records management systems.

Experience in financial and office management procedures, policies and practices.
