Administration Officer - Needs Assessment Service Co-ordination (NASC) Unit

Southland Hospital

  • Permanent, full time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours per week

About Us

We are a team of friendly and supportive professionals providing administrative support functions for the Service. This includes using a range of electronic systems (including IPM, interRAI, Health Connect South), data processing and receiving and responding to a variety of queries via telephone and email.

About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for administration tasks within the department, including filing, assisting with referrals, service facilitation and information management.

You can expect to be busy, challenged and surrounded by experienced practitioners and will work closely with the Clinical Needs Assessors within the service as well as external agencies, clients, and families.

The salary for this position is between $48,220 and $51,240 pro rata per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

About You

With an exceptional attention to detail, you will have previous administration experience. Previous experience in healthcare administration is preferrable, but not essential.

You will also need to demonstrate the following to be successful in this role :

  • Confidence in Microsoft Suite 365 and good computer literacy
  • Evidence of good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people
  • A reliable team player who enjoys working in a smaller team
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity at all times
