About the role:

An opportunity has come about for an Administration Officer to join the Employment Relations Authority (ERA) support team within the Employment Services branch of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

As the Administration Officer you will provide quality administrative support to the ERA members and staff to assist them to carry out their functions efficiently.

This will involve working on reception and answering telephone enquiries, lodging applications, setting up meeting rooms, booking travel for ERA members, coding invoices and providing general administration support.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience in small office administration
  • The ability to work co-operatively with a wide variety of people and groups
  • Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work without supervision and in a team environment
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A sympathetic, helpful attitude to client groups
  • Clear and accurate presentation of statistical, written and accounts work
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite of programmes, including Excel, and PowerPoint.
