We are currently looking for an Actuarial Consultant to join our team.

Working in our Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPA) Business you will be responsible for the finalisation modelling of large Pension scheme transactions. This is the last part of the process in our onboarding of new business, and you will be required to work at pace to ensure we meet the deadlines our customers expect.

This is an analytical role working with large data sets and our pensions benefits and pricing tools.

Role and responsibilities:

• Analysing data movements between data sets that will have been produced at different times and for different purposes

• Understand what impacts different moves and what these impacts will mean financially

• Adhering to an approval’s framework for both cashflow modelling and pricing

• Reviewing and explaining why pricing has been changed

• You will be responsible for schemes but will need to work with others to peer review work and share ideas on more technical pension schemes

Skills and experience we would like to see:

• Actuarial or Pensions background

• You will have knowledge of defined benefits (DB) pension schemes

• You may be working towards an actuarial or pensions qualification

• An ability to quickly learn and demonstrate proficiency with new software

• Data Analysis skills are key
