Robert Half client in the Automotive Technology industry is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. Responsibilities held by the Accounts Payable Clerk include entering of invoices, verifying all information for accuracy and maintain vendor information. This a great entry level contract opportunity located in the Markham, Ontario area. This role is remote with potential for hybrid.

Key responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounts payable team
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording vendor invoice information into Excel database
- Inputting completed vendor invoices into accounting system for payment processing, ensuring accurate approvals, coding and currency
- Travel to office every 2 week for mail/invoice pickup
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Solid understanding of data entry
- Microsoft Excel experience
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
