Robert Half is in the process of hiring an Accounting Administrator-Payroll & Benefits for one of their clients. Candidate must have the ability to perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). T

his dynamic team environment offers advantages such as a great work space/office, terrific benefits, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Waterloo, Ontario, area.

How you will make an impact

- Payroll – Assist with entering weekly timesheets and assist with benefit administration

- Assist with quarterly financial package for management

- Manually or electronically post financial information

- Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances

- Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes

- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports

- Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed

- Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects

Requirements

- 3+ years of accounting experience required

- Experience with high volume data entry

- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

- Command of Canadian Payroll

- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
