Job Description

The role of Account Manager is an exciting opportunity within Johnson Controls to develop our focus on product sales growth of our Foam Agents and Foam Hardware Products across our five foam fire suppression brands. You will seek to grow product and service base in the UK, Ireland and Israel. Our account managers are highly valued as part of an established team passionate about securing and retaining end-user clients and crafting specifications for projects, including growing share-of-wallet and cross-selling additional products and services to new customers. 

 

Working closely with and supported by our technical support and sales teams, you will be instrumental in executing the sales growth initiative, taking ownership of account management and direct sales focus on key market segments.

How you will do it

 

Our account managers lead the execution of our go-to-market strategy in existing markets and employ enterprise tools and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth. Ensuring your strategy’s success, you will take key findings to continuously adapt your sales strategy to deliver growth. You will also ensure effective adoption of Company systems, tools, pricing policies and sales processes.

 

Through using our current market intelligence and renewables industry networking tools you will blend field activity with conversations with new clients to capture any service and maintenance or equipment sales opportunities available to you. 
Our teams and customers are located across the country and overseas, therefore the role may require appropriate travel to support your strategy for growth. Depending upon the location of customers and specific opportunities in these markets, some degree of foreign travel can be expected. 

 

Salesforce.com is well established as the CRM tool within the business, and will be fully utilised. Our Marketing function is also able to support with external communications and tailoring customer campaigns you require in order to assist you with executing your growth strategy.
 


What we look for

 

Required

  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK Industrial, Power Generation and Specialist Risk markets.
  • Consistent track record of developing new business in an account manager, business development, territory manager or field sales role.
  • Experience in a technical or specification based sales function.
  • Experience in developing new business through excellent client relationships and forecasting.
  • Experience in planning, business development, opportunity and pipeline management.
  • IT literacy and experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle the full sales lifecycle.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Preferred

 

We'd ideally love you to have experience using Salesforce.com CRM application along with experience of working within a large organisation where matrix structures are common. Technical understanding of foam suppression products is likely to be pretty useful but is not crucial as we have the technical knowledge to support training.
