Job Description

Our Penrose based client is a highly successful global company, that supplies the Outdoor market with products and solutions for use in recreational vehicles, boating and outdoor activities. They are renown brand, which if you are a camping / outdoors enthusiastic, you will easily recognise.

With manufacturing sites across 11 countries and sales across over 100 countries, their business is enjoying strong growth. The Opportunity:

Due to business growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Executive, who will be tasked with driving business across the company’s accounts, delivering opportunities for revenue growth and brand presence.

The portfolio of accounts will be a mixture of larger resellers, large online stores as well as smaller accounts, which you will support at both head office, as well as ensuring store level support.

Already accustomed to receiving first rate service, you will build on these relationships, to maximise all sales opportunities and ensure sustainable growth across the client portfolio. You will be managing the relationships of existing customers, as well as targeting and developing new customers.

The Role:

  • Actively visit customers, building long term sustainable relationships
  • Pursue all opportunities to increase revenue and sales growth, within existing accounts as well as targeting new customers
  • Develop relationships with key buyers, understanding their current and future requirements
  • Develop account plans for each customer, with add value solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Promote new product ranges
  • Finalise pricing agreements with customers including rebate arrangements
  • Provide support at store level, with training and troubleshooting any issues
  • Review product ranges, analyse performance and provide reporting, including forecastng
  • Provide input into planning and sales strategies meetings
  • Provide support at regular trade show events.
  • Above all, being a positive ambassador for the brand
  • Be a supportive team member, and having a whole lot of fun
  • Be able to travel nationally (approximately 2-3 days a month)

About You:

  • Vibrant, enthusiastic, and passionate about the outdoors.
  • High energy, proactive, engaging person
  • Any experience in the retail outdoor or marine category would be looked on favourably
  • Has experience working with retail buyers and understands how they operate
  • Ability to pick trends and identify opportunities for new product development.
  • Ability to establish priorities & meet deadlines.
  • Has competent MS Office suite skills
  • Any experience with big box retailers, specifically hardware category, or similar will be a bonus.
  • Any e-commerce / online experience would also be great
