Job Description

Work for one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers and supplier of lubricants.  

This position covers territories predominantly from the bottom side of Lake Taupo down to Nelson and Blenheim with customers including automotive, industrial distributors and direct business within the passenger car/heavy commercial/agricultural/construction sectors.

This is an integral position in the business, with a strong focus on solutions and sales.  A competitive remuneration package including profit shares will be offered to the right candidate. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Actively promoting the full lubricant product range throughout the territory by driving field activity to distributors at branch level.  
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Management of all product training, merchandising and monitoring sale activity 
  • Reviewing customer buying trends and monitoring competitor activity 
  • Introducing new products and promotions 
  • Providing direct sales/technical support to key distributors and end-users
  • Strategic sales planning, budgets and contract negotiation 
  • Manage an existing client data base with emphasis on providing high levels of customer service and helping find solutions 
  • Strive for perfection by being ahead of the market challenges 

 What the ideal candidate will bring to the role:

  • Live in or around greater Wellington 
  • On-road sales experienced gained within Automotive / Agricultural / Commercial / Mechanical Engineering sector would be highly desirable 
  • Enjoyment of working autonomously 
  • Understanding of the trade channels 
  • Exceptional B2B success 
  • An interest within automotive or industrial channel 
  • Highly motivated and driven with the ability to work independently while being part of a team 
  • Driven within a target driven environment offering substantial commission rewards
