About Us:
We are currently seeking a person to join our Front Office to deliver an exceptional and personalized experience to our guests, every time they interact with us.
Flatbush Holiday Accommodation is located in the new Auckland suburb of Ormiston and we are a busy, modern and unique accommodation business with 26 rooms. We offer high standard, trendy, hotel style rooms in a homely atmosphere. Our core clientele during the week is with business travellers, contract workers, private hospital patients and the general travelling public. We serve hundreds of clients every month. We also specialise in group bookings of 8-20 guests. We are not an emergency housing provider.
About the role:
In this role you will be responsible for providing guests with a warm and friendly welcome to our accommodation. You will be efficient and accurate, and enjoy providing our guests with correct information about their stay, our accommodation and the local area. This is a varied role that includes assisting with front office operations, and excellent guest service both in person and on the phone. You will also manage all guest administrative areas of the business being – housekeeping rosters, guest quotes, and group booking communications and facilitation and business accounts and manage our online booking system.
The hours of the role are Monday to Friday 11.00am to 5.30pm. Although the hours and days are 5 days a week you may apply for just one or multiple days on a job share basis.
You may be called on to work the occasional weekend day and statutory holidays at busy periods and take responsibility for the full front office area while the owners are away.
As our ideal candidate for this busy role, you will bring:
• Excellent English communication skills including great numeracy skills
• The ability to work unsupervised
• It is an advantage to have a full, clean New Zealand Drivers Licence, although not essential, as you may at some stage need to take guests to an accommodation property / airport / Ormiston Hospital, if they do not have transport
• Self-motivation and attention to detail, along with a genuine passion for customer service and hospitality
• Exceptional personal presentation
• An understanding of email, Microsoft word, and basic computer skills is important as you will be operating a fully computerised booking system linking to other accommodation booking agents such as Booking|com and Expedia. Full training will be given
