About this role

5G Solutions inside Division X is like no other team in BT.  We’re a small, brand new team riding on the wave of amazing opportunities that 5G private networks can bring and we want to bring that opportunity to our customers.  If you have an interest in the exciting new technologies that 5G will enable, ranging from augmented reality through to autonomous vehicle, artificial intelligence through to harnessing the internet of things, then please get in touch.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Applies specialist technical expertise to develop and advise on approach across a range of complex and high impact customer solutions,

Act as a point of contact for technical expertise to advise senior stakeholders, internal and external.

Shares thought-leadership and provides sign off for high profile and/or critical technical changes on a major scale across BT portfolio; accountable for managing technical risk in the applicable domain.

Operates in a complex environment across the Enterprise and wider technical industry,

Establishes a network of stakeholders, serving as an externally recognised expert in their field and influencing industry forums, external boards and/or conferences through technical expertise.

Liaises with CFU and customer stakeholders, ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Technical/Network/Service experience of working in one or multiple IT areas,

Strong stakeholder management skills. Ability to work with multiple internal and external partners to deliver great outcomes for our customers and business,

Outstanding communication and presentation skills (customer facing),

Technology excellence - You maintain strong understanding in emerging technology trends. You use specialised skills and knowledge to guide the business and develop content to support the sharing of complex technical information.

Strong problem-solving skills. 

Negotiation, communication and decision-making skills.

Familiarity with TOGAF and/or ITIL methodologies.
