Private Secretary (Media) Inside Cabinet - Communications Advisor
We re looking for a communications professional with strong copywriting skills and a passion for politics to join our team as a Communications Advisor.
Working in the Prime Minister s Office, you ll play a key role in sharing the Government s work with New Zealanders. This will involve a variety of work, including writing compelling web articles and op-eds, translating policy jargon into accessible copy, and offering strategic communications advice.
If you re a strong writer who can produce work quickly with zero errors and engage audiences across a range of channels, we d love to have you on the team. You must be able to keep a cool head under pressure, manage competing demands with a positive attitude, and show a good understanding of New Zealand s political environment and the Government s priorities.
We encourage you to apply for this role if you have:
? At least two years experience working in communications
? Impeccable writing and grammar skills, with experience writing for a digital audience preferable
? Excellent attention to detail and an eye for identifying potential risks or problems
? A strong interest in politics and good knowledge of New Zealand s political environment
? And share the views of our Government.
This is an events-based, fixed-term role, working 40 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours and travel may be required.
