  • Are you looking to further your career as a fully sponsored actuarial trainee? Your first placement is expected to be in Actuarial Production team (although we would be looking for a candidate flexible enough to support business needs should we need to rotate trainees to other business areas). The role provides an exciting opportunity to work on the production of results and analysis used in IFRS and Solvency II reporting and is a high-profile role with opportunity for senior management exposure.     If you are currently studying towards the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries (IFoA) examinations and have relevant actuarial work experience in the Life Insurance sector, we want to hear from you.

    Knowledge & skills we are looking for:

    • Studying towards the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) examinations with a minimum of 6 exams having already been successfully attained (not exemptions)

    • Knowledge of life insurance and investment products and/or Solvency II reporting

    • A broad technical knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles, formulae, and methodology

    • Highly numerate and analytical with a developed capability to interpret data and establish alternatives and solutions to complex problems

    • A high degree of computer literacy and strong excel skills

    • Knowledge of industry regulatory frameworks and of other corporate areas and projects

    • Understand the needs of our end customers

    • Strong communication skills and an ability to work with people effectively

    • Able to work independently and to take ownership of tasks

    • Understand risks and how to mitigate them
