You’ll help drive us forward producing content that is engaging, customer-focused content for our digital and print channels, as well as deputising for the Marketing & Lifestyle Editor where necessary.
Establish great working relationships with both the wider Content team and other internal stakeholders including Marketing, SEO, PR, Social, Product, and eCommerce and be able to coordinate and prioritise requirements in line with our strategy. You’ll also have a great network of relevant external travel and lifestyle industry contacts.
As well as great writing skills, you’ll need to possess commercial acumen and understanding and brand awareness, and, as such, your writing will reflect customer/audience needs to drive engagement.
All writing will need to – where necessary – dovetail with TUI UK’s SEO requirements, while still keeping an engaging, narrative flow.
You’ll also need to demonstrate the flexibility and ability to contribute to the Editorial Marketing workstream through innovative and engaging, brand-aligned marketing copy.
You’ll track the performance of articles and presenting these to the team. As well as taking back on board these insights to optimise our content for search (SEO), conversion and engagement to meet our KPI’s.
You’ll also be responsible for ensuring a consistent and seamless customer experience across all touch points by way of tone of voice implementation to drive engagement and adopting a mobile-first approach.
You’ll also assist the Marketing & Lifestyle Editor to mentor and develop more junior members of the team and shape our content calendar and influence stakeholders with your content marketing expertise.
You will have worked as a writer previously, and will be a digital native with a thorough understanding of SEO, social media and marketing strategies.
Confident writer who is able to co-ordinate and manage new editorial requirements from around the business, often with short deadlines and rapidly shifting commercial requirements
A proactive, organised self-starter who can produce content on time and to budget to post on our websites, blogs, apps and our brochures and inflight magazines.
Demonstrate a consistent and seamless tone of voice that supports and maintains the customer journey across all touch points. This skill will need to be delivered across all elements of the TUI and First Choice brands.
A brand champion who believes wholeheartedly in the importance of brand and products in relation to the overall customer journey.
An expert on content streams such as video and social media.
Experience collating a content calendar.
Previous experience using a CMS and good working knowledge of SEO.
Previous editing experience is desirable.
