The overall vision within the Payment, Fraud and Financial Crime Value Stream is to promote social well-being for our customers by enabling them to make and receive payments and protect them from fraud and financial crime.

We do this by supporting the Payments, Fraud and Financial Crime Business Areas in processing compliant, fast, secure and flexible transaction management services and covering rising threats from social engineering and real time payments by implementing new and improved digital ways of meeting and exceeding our customer needs.

Job Description

About the role:

We\'re looking to recruit a Scrum Master to coach one of the feature teams within the Fraud & Authentication Lab in the art of Agile delivery and drive relentless improvement. The successful candidate will also use their in-depth experience to play a leadership role in the Lab’s Method chapter, coaching other scrum masters and influencing improvements in teams across the Lab.

Here’s how you’ll make a difference

  • You’ll be a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them deliver their best work
  • Improve facilitation of change using Agile methodology (as defined in the Scrum Guide), and the Group Transformation Principles and Practices within LBG
  • Coach the team to understand Scrum theory, practices, rules and values and translate this into practice so it works for them
  • Be a servant-leader for the team. Facilitate the team to become self-organised and focused on delivering the outcome for the customer
  • Help maximise the value created by the Team.
  • Identifying and then measure that which is important, and then driving interventions for relentless improvement

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Confidently applies and coaches/develops the team to develop a digital leadership mind-set. Believes in innovation and learns quickly from failures. Leads the way by experimenting with the latest technological and digital trends. Is forward-thinking and applies innovative solutions before others.
  • Acts as the organisational authority and established specialist on adopting new ways of working. Enables regular and continuous product and service improvements for customers and clients.
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. For example, promotes a culture of collaboration across boundaries, where people can express themselves honestly; addresses major barriers to collaboration. Seeks out a broad range of perspectives to address issues.
  • Works independently and provides guidance and training to others to reduce the risk of \'big bang\' delivery and proves the value predictions earlier by adopting an agile delivery approach.
  • Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. For example, emphasises continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the organisation and with external partners. Facilitates organisation-wide adoption of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. For example, asks questions to encourage others to think differently and enrich their analyses of complex situations. Accurately defines the key elements of complex, ambiguous situations.
