We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our finance team as the Principal Systems Accountant for our Oracle Fusion systems. Are you an experienced systems accountant or techno-functional consultant? Do you know Oracle Fusion inside out? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About the role:
Leading on Oracle Fusion finance system configuration, projects and technical activities. Business partnering super users and Fusion Business Process Owners (BPOs). Developing best in class solutions and processes for the Fusion solution.
Perform impact assessment Fusion system changes. Recommend and implement development solutions, support BPOs to determine and support end to end UAT testing. Successfully deploy solutions in production on time with minimum impact to the business.
Capture business requirements & change requests from the business. Record changes in JIRA with no audit exceptions.
Produce impact assessment to Fusion and Fusion business processes based on Oracle release notes. Perform tasks and testing in relation to the quarterly Fusion patch through development > test and production environments
Own and accurately maintain the Fusion configuration workbook and prioritise workload.
Business partner relevant individuals in Financial Accounting & Control team to ensure completeness of information for month end processes
Ensure that Fusion system controls are operating effectively at all times
What you’ll be doing:
Capture business requirements & change requests from the business
Ownership of changes (small to large) configuration changes in accordance with Whitbread change policy. See appendix 1 for modules and Fusion business processes
Co-ordination of bigger config changes with Fusion VMT and / Oracle MCS
Advise on how to achieve business requirements through the Oracle Fusion
Impact assessment based on Oracle Fusion release notes to identify impact and improvements to Oracle Fusion. Business partnering BPOs to enable them to understand impact to business processes
Coordination of testing across finance users and ensuring integrity of data flows/integrations is not compromised by new releases
Successfully close Service Now Fusion defect tickets as assigned
Solutions put in place to resolve defects. Coordinate testing from Development > Test > production. Document in JIRA change system
Co-ordination with Fusion Technical Support to resolve defects that can’t be resolved in-house and ensure capture for future patch releases
Experience you’ll need:
5 – 10 years working as a systems accountant
Technical knowledge & implementation experience of interfaces and Fusion system configurations
Knowledge of ERP systems approach to releases and patches and interpretation of release notes
Experience of implementing/ configuration Fusion Public cloud system for large organisation
Business partnering experience able to communicate complex technical knowledge in a concise and understandable format
Delivered fusion technical audit evidence to obtain clean audits for both internal and external auditors
