Senior Business Change Manager
Senior Business Change Manager | Permanent | Dunstable
Whitbread is investing heavily into its people and its technology, and as such are looking to hire a Senor Business Change Manager to be the lead on business change projects across our organisation.
About the role:
- Functional responsibility for the change management capability across the Change Delivery function, including the running of Whitbread’s Change Management Centre of Excellence
- Responsible for delivering the overall business change plan for the IT function
- Accountable for the successful execution of business change to projects, programmes and overall portfolios to ensure successful adoption
- Responsible for the definition and maintenance of the IT change impact plan in support of Whitbread’s 3 year digital and IT transformation plan
- Assure all business change plans are delivered on time, on budget and to expected standards
- Line management of internal and external business change managers, driving consistency and high quality

What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver change into the organisation through the advisory and application of ‘best in class’ change management
- Ownership and continuous improvement of business change methodologies, tools and development of the business change community
- Line manage business change team (currently 3 B18 Business Change Managers)
- Manage the business change resource capacity against overall workplan demand, ensuring necessary action taken to recruit both internal and external resources as required
- Manage full supplier relationship with appropriate change management agencies
- Lead the development of business change plans within programme/projects (which should be integrated with broader project plans)
- Develop and maintain a Change Management Centre of Excellence that represents best in class business change
- Proactively monitor overall progress of business change plans, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as necessary
- Effectively identify and manage senior stakeholders in the interests of business change delivery, communicating progress proactively
- Present business change initiatives/plans to the appropriate Boards as required for steer and approval
- Represent the business change function to senior stakeholders, up to and including ExCo
- Drive consistency and quality across the business change capability
- In conjunction with the Project/Programme Manager communicate progress with senior and peer stakeholders
What you’ll need:
- Extensive experience of change management best practice and methodologies
- Successful delivery of change management in a similar (eg. FTSE 100) organisation or across multiple clients in a top tier consulting organisation
- Experience of dealing with a complex and demanding array of senior stakeholders
- People leadership and management, to successfully achieve project objectives
- Experience working in/with teams who employ both incremental and iterative methodologies
- Strong understanding of project and programme delivery methodologies
- Understanding of PMO practices
